Elderly man indicted on charges of sex abuse, molestation
KINGMAN — An elderly Bullhead City man was indicted Thursday on three sex charges.
A Mohave County grand jury indicted Pedro Aguayo Martinez, 75, on one count each of sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 12, sexual abuse with a minor under the age of 15 and child molestation.
Martinez is being held in the Mohave County Jail on a $500,000 bond. He is expected to be arraigned on the charges Wednesday at the county jail. His case will be heard before Superior Court Judge Rick Lambert.
Martinez allegedly sexually abused and molested a child in Bullhead City between 2009 and 2010. The victim recently reported the abuse to her mother and police, Bullhead City police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said.
The girl was 8 years old at the time of the alleged abuse. Martinez allegedly touched the victim inappropriately while he was babysitting her, Fromelt said.
