Police: Juvenile arrested in Christmas Day triple shooting
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — Bridgeport police have arrested a juvenile in connection with a Christmas Day shooting that injured three, and say the suspect is the brother of another juvenile arrested in connection with a shooting this month that left a 12-year-old boy dead.
Capt. Brian Fitzgerald tells the Connecticut Post the two shootings do not appear to be connected.
Fitzgerald says in the shooting Tuesday, six shots were fired near a gas station and convenience store. Three people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
No information about the suspect was released.
An 18-year-old man and youths ages 12, 14 and 16 were arrested in connection with a Dec. 18 shooting that killed 12-year-old Clinton Howell. Police say Howell was an innocent bystander and the target was his older cousin.
