The Daily Chronicle obtained records from Northern Illinois University through a Freedom of Information Act request showing three complaints were filed against Professor Trude Jacobsen in 2017.

Jacobsen, a tenured professor in the university’s Souteast Asian Studies program, was convicted of aggravated driving under the influence in December and has been sentenced to 30 days in DeKalb County jail, beginning in June.
