BEAVERTON, Ore. (AP) _ Digimarc Corp. (DMRC) on Wednesday reported a loss of $8 million in its second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Beaverton, Oregon-based company said it had a loss of 71 cents.

The online marketing company posted revenue of $5.4 million in the period.

Digimarc shares have fallen 17 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $30.05, a decrease of roughly 4 percent in the last 12 months.
