Versarien Joins As Inaugural Member of NGA Industry Council and Newest Corporate Partner
OXFORD, Miss., June 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The National Graphene Association, the main organization and body in the US advocating and promoting the commercialization of graphene, is pleased to announce the addition of an Industry Council member and Corporate Partner, Versarien PLC.
Versarien joins as the inaugural member of the NGA’s Industry Council. The Industry Council is a select number of prominent graphene companies leading NGA committees on policy, standards, and business development. Industry council members possess a long-term view that the success of the graphene industry in the US requires sound, strategic direction from companies engaged in the market. Council members work directly with NGA and international organizations to advance the commercialization of graphene and provide guidance in the development of standard and best practices for graphene. Council members will also advise NGA on public policy and assist in developing strategic initiatives that will increase US leadership in the graphene industry.
Neill Ricketts, CEO of Versarien and an advisory board member of the NGA, said “I am delighted that Versarien has become the inaugural member of the NGA’s Industry Council. The NGA is at the forefront of promoting the commercialization of graphene and we look forward to working closely with the NGA and its other members.”
One of the roles of the council members is to determine and advise on strategic moves such as standardization and policy development that will facilitate the commercialization of graphene globally.
“The graphene sector needs an active industry council that will take leadership, pave the path and guide the industry forward. With Versarien’s success and prominence in the field, Versarien is the ideal member to join the Industry Council,” said Dr. Zina Jarrahi Cinker, Executive Director of the NGA.
