1-car crash claims life of Beaverville man

ST. ANNE —Deandre R. Taylor, of Beaverville, was killed in a one-car crash east of St. Anne on Thursday night.

The 25-year-old Taylor was ejected from the 2009 Nissan Altima he was driving on 7000S Road just east of 8500E Road, according to Kankakee County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Ken McCabe.

According to a report, the car was traveling westbound on 7000S at 8800E Road at a high rate of speed when Taylor lost control. The car went off the north side of the road into a ditch before rolling several times and landing 75 to 100 feet in a field.

Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:17 p.m. An autopsy was done today, Kankakee County Coroner Bob Gessner said.

There were two passengers in the car, a 18-year-old woman and a 2-year-old child. The child was in the back seat properly restrained, McCabe said.

It is unknown if the woman, a front seat passenger, was wearing a seat belt. She was out of the car being cared for by emergency medical personnel, McCabe said.

The woman and child were taken to Riverside Medical Center for treatment.

Deputies and emergency medical personnel were dispatched at 6:42 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
