George Dila tribute to be held Saturday at LACA

There will be a tribute for George Dila from 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts, 107 S. Harrison St.

Dila, who passed away on April 25, 2016, was the founder of the Ludington Writers, a long-term columnist for the Ludington Daily News and a founding member of the LACA board of directors.

Ludington Writers founder and former Ludington Daily News columnist George Dila on Saturday afternoon at the Ludington Area Center for the Arts. The tribute will take place in LACA’s main gallery following a visit from poet Jack Ridl, a friend of Dila’s who will speak to those in attendance about Dila. In addition to Ridl, Judith Dila, Steve Begnoche and Linda Sandow will also speak and share memories during the tribute.
