Radio company buys two traffic reporting services
COVINGTON, Ky. (AP) _ Jacor Communications Inc. said Thursday it bought two companies that provide traffic reports for television and radio stations in southern California for a total of $18 million.
The companies are Airtraffic Communications of Los Angeles and Airwatch Communications of San Diego. Steve Springer, president of Airtraffic and Airwatch, will continue to run the companies for Jacor.
Jacor Communications, based in Covington, Ky., owns, operates or provides programming for 140 radio stations in 30 markets, including pending acquisitions.
