Top ranked 5-1 Norfolk Catholic football readies for Battle Creek

The Lincoln Journal Star top ranked and Omaha World Herald second ranked in Class ‘C-2’ Norfolk Catholic football team is 5-1 on the year after routing Hartington Cedar Catholic last Friday night 54-20.

The Knights got 277 rushing yards off 31 carries and three touchdown runs by Dylan Kautz as the team had 479 rushing yards. He also had a 70 yard TD reception. Evan Smith contributed 105 rushing yards off twelve carries and two scores. Norfolk Catholic, who has beaten David City Aquinas, St. Paul, BRLD, Crofton, and Hartington Cedar Catholic while falling to Pierce is outscoring their opponents on average through five games 43.5-19.7. The Knights return to action on Friday night when they host 4-2 Battle Creek at 7:00 in a game that can be heard on 106 KIX.
