Lions Cornerback Cash to Miss Season

August 25, 2003

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) _ The Detroit Lions made seven roster moves Monday, including four cuts.

The team placed cornerback Chris Cash on injured reserve, meaning he will miss the entire season with a knee injury, and rookie running back Artose Pinner on the non-football injury list with leg problems.

Pinner will be eligible to return after the sixth week of the season.

Detroit cut guard Zach Wilson, linebacker Ken Philpot, running back Luke Staley and wide receiver Travis Anglin, while defensive end Kalimba Edwards was activated from the physically-unable-to-perform list and began practicing on Monday.
