DARA MAE PHILLIPS

DARA MAE PHILLIPS, 90, of Huntington, wife of 74 years to James Paul Phillips, died Tuesday, August 7, 2018, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born August 28, 1927, in Pocahontas County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Gilbert L. and Blanch Brock Buterbaugh. In addition to her parents, others that have preceded her in death are two sisters, Virginia Vanettie and Janice Ritter; and a son-in-law, James Watts. She was a retired sales clerk, having worked at both the Sears and JC Penney Company department stores. Additional survivors include her daughter, Yvonnia Lynn Watts, and granddaughter, Michelle Lynn Templeton, both of Barboursville; and a special neighbor, Sandy Bellomy of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, August 10, 2018, at Chapman’s Mortuary with Pastor Rob Reed officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
