Renaissance choral group begins its Christmas concert tour Saturday, Dec. 1
HUNTINGTON - Renaissance, the Huntington based choral group, will be spreading Christmas joy throughout the Tri-State area as they present their 33rd annual Christmas concert, “The Story Never Changes.” Started by Janice Chandler Gold back in 1985, the all-volunteer group sings mostly a cappella music and brings new concerts each season. Now under the direction of Sherry White, who also accompanies the group on piano, Renaissance will be presenting six concerts this holiday season.
“This year we are bringing to our audiences a variety of many well known Christmas songs,“White said. “The first half of our concert will delight listeners with some familiar secular favorites. In the second half we will share the true reason for the season, the birth of Jesus, the story that never changes. I am thrilled to once again be directing this group and bringing the sounds of the season to our community and the Tri-State area.”
