Video shows New Hampshire dog being chased by coyotes

January 1, 2019

LITCHFIELD, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire dog owner says his 55-pound pit bull went nose-to-nose with a pair of coyotes and the encounter was captured on his backyard security camera.

Doug Anderson says he let his two dogs out about 8 a.m. Monday before he heard his pit bull Harlee “come running in screaming crying.”

WMUR-TV reports Anderson went outside and looked straight into the faces of two coyotes.

Anderson says the coyotes were on the back edge of his property “kind of hanging around.”

The video shows one of the coyotes running at Harlee. The dog then ran up onto the back deck of Anderson’s home.

Anderson says says the coyotes “weren’t small.”

He says his dog escaped without a scratch.
