Moore Farms Wine Stroll set for April 6
LAKE CITY, S.C. – The Lake City Junior Sorosis Club and Moore Farms Botanical Garden are teaming up again this year for the annual Moore Farms Wine Stroll.
The event will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 6.
Moore Farms Wine Stroll encompasses the Moore Farms Botanical Garden’s 65 cultivated acres. Vendor booths are spread throughout the garden, allowing visitors the opportunity to stroll at their leisure and sip wine along the way.
This year, approximately 70 wines – a mix of red, white, rosé and local muscadine varieties – will be available for tasting. One hundred percent of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Lake City Junior Sorosis Club.
“Our mission is to be supportive of the community, and we have a long-standing relationship with Lake City Junior Sorosis Club,” said Moore Farms Botanical Gardens event coordinator Leigh Collins.
GLS & Company will provide live music, and several food trucks will be on site.
The Lake City Junior Sorosis Club distributes proceeds from Moore Farms Wine Stroll to several other charitable local organizations: the St. Philip Catholic Church’s Outreach Center; the Florence County Disabilities and Special Needs board; the Lake City Concert Series; the Lake City Boys & Girls Club; the Three Rivers Historical Society; the Lynches Lake Historical Society; the Tara Hall Home for Boys; Florence County School District Three’s celebration of Arbor Day; ArtFields; and the Lake City Community Theatre.
“It’s a joy for us to make life better for someone else,” Lake City Junior Sorosis Club member Sarah McDaniel said.
