Serna wins Fifth Ward seat on Ludington’s City Council

Angela Serna was elected Tuesday to be the Ludington city councilor for the Fifth Ward, receiving 243 votes compared to 239 votes for her opponent, the incumbent candidate Wally Cain.

The seat on the Ludington City Council is a four-year term, and Serna will take office after Cain’s current term as councilor expires on Dec. 31.

Serna said she feels honored that constituents have chosen her for the position.

“I’m thankful for the support of all those who voted for me,” Serna said.
