Authorities say shower recordings lead to voyeurism arrest
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a 49-year-old man has been charged with voyeurism after he recorded women taking showers on his yacht in South Carolina.
The mother of one of the victims said at William Hilliard’s bond hearing that they found the recording device attached to an iPad over the weekend on the boat at a Myrtle Beach marina and brought it to police.
An incident report lists eight women as victims — three juveniles, three 18-year-old women, a 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman.
News outlets report the mother of one of the victims says the girls all trusted Hilliard and at least one watched his children.
Hillard’s bond was set at $50,000. Court and jail records did not list an attorney.
