Kentucky toddler hit by mom’s car after wandering out dies
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A Kentucky toddler who was run over by her mother’s car has died.
Louisville Metro Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley tells news outlets that no charges will be filed against the mother, who was backing out of a driveway Tuesday when she accidentally hit her 1 ½-year-old daughter.
Smiley says the mother had put her two children inside the home before moving the car, but heard a scream as she backed out. She discovered the girl had wandered outside.
The girl’s name has not been released.
