Transportation fair closing streets near Goose Egg Park

Saturday’s annual Transportation Fair in Goose Egg Park comes with some street closings.

Second Avenue Northwest will be closed where it circles Goose Egg Park, between Eighth and 10th streets, and Ninth Street Northwest will be closed where it intersects with Second Avenue on both sides of the park, according to Rochester Public Works.

While Eighth and 10th streets near Goose Egg Park will remain open to traffic, drivers are being encouraged to find another route due to high volumes of pedestrians.

Sponsored by sponsored by Early Childhood Family Services/PAIIR (Parents Are Important in Rochester), the PAIIR Advisory Council and Rochester Public Works, the 25th annual event will offer a opportunity to see a variety of vehicles, while also connecting families with a variety of early childhood resources.

The fair is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in Goose Egg Park, 201 Eighth St. NW, but the street closings are scheduled to last through the day as vehicles are move in and out of the park.
