LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) _ Len Sexton’s 102 yard and two touchdowns led a strong rushing attack that helped Wyoming defeat Fresno State 38-10 in the Western Athletic Conference on Sunday.

The Cowboys (5-5 overall, 3-4 WAC) converted four interceptions into four touchdowns and gained 307 yards rushing, the second week in a row that Wyoming ran for more than 300.

Fresno State (5-6, 2-5) used two quarterbacks in an attempt to get the offense untracked. Starter Jim Arellanes had passes intercepted by Jim Talich, Lee Vaughn and Jason Holanda, and backup Richie Donati had a pass intercepted by Brian Lee, who returned it 25 yards for a touchdown.

Lee’s interception capped a three-touchdown third quarter that broke open the game and gave Wyoming a 28-3 lead.

Reserve John Davis, starting because regular Josh Wallwork had just returned from a funeral, ran for 67 yards and passed for 165.

Fresno State picked up its first score after recovering a muffed punt by Kevin Parma at the Cowboys 12. Wyoming forced the Bulldogs to settle for a 32-yard field goal by Armen Torigian with nine minutes left in the first quarter.

Talich then intercepted Arellanes’ pass and the Cowboys drove 63 yards to a touchdown, the score coming on Sexton’s 1-yard run off left tackle.

Fresno State drove to the Wyoming 16 only to stall and Torigian’s 33-yard field goal attempt was blocked by tackle Patrick Larson.

With under a minute to play in the second quarter, Larson also blocked Torigian’s 43-yard field goal attempt.
