Lillian Tremblay Bertini
WESTFORD, Mass. (AP) _ Lillian Tremblay Bertini, the first woman licensed to drive a taxi in Massachusetts, died Saturday. She was 68.
The New York City native drove a cab for her grandfather’s taxi company from 1941 to 1944 while a member of the Women’s Defense Corps. Look magazine featured her in an article at the time. She was retired as co-owner of Bertini Motor Lines and LNR Trucking Co., both of Burlington.
