Police notebook for Aug. 6, 2018

Between 8:25 a.m. Monday and 5:01 a.m. Friday police responded to 100 calls.
East Edgewater Street: Police on Friday at 10:06 a.m. responded to a walk-in complaint involving a dispute in which Jessica Stevens, 28, of Portage, was reportedly told to stop calling the complainant and was subsequently issued a misdemeanor citation for telephone harassment.
East Conant Street: Police on Friday at 8:01 p.m. responded to a report of teens smoking marijuana in an alley, with four subjects spotted at the scene. Christian Castro, 20, of Portage, claimed possession of a blunt found in the vicinity and was issued a misdemeanor citation for possession of marijuana.
Highway 33 and Caledonia Street: Police on Saturday at 1:51 a.m. stopped Johnquita Brown, 29, of Milwaukee, who later was arrested and charged with misdemeanor operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated as a third offense and failure to install an ignition interlock device, registering a .15 blood-alcohol level on a preliminary test. The vehicle was towed.
East Howard Street: Police on Saturday at 3:06 a.m. responded to a domestic disturbance where a 55-year-old Portage woman was accused of threatening physical violence following an argument with her roommate. The woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic disorderly conduct.
East Burns Street: Police on Saturday at 9:24 p.m. stopped John Ciefredo, 34, of Pardeeville, who was arrested on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated as a first offense, registering a blood-alcohol level of .128.
Kwik Trip North: Police on Sunday at 2:35 a.m. were alerted to a man leaving the store who was suspected of being intoxicated. The man was stopped shortly after driving away and the driver, Donald Schanke, 65, of Montello, was arrested and cited for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated as a first offense, registering a preliminary blood-alcohol level of .16.
