ICHIHARA, Japan (AP) _ Amy Benz shot a 69 Saturday and kept the lead after two rounds of the Fujitsu Ladies Golf Tournament, one shot ahead of compatriot Patti Rizzo.

Benz shot four birdies, including three in a row, on the front nine. She carded another birdie on the 13th hole and then shot her only bogey of the day on the 17th over the 6,376-yard, par-73 Hamano Golf Club course, east of Tokyo. Benz finished 36 holes at 136, 10-under-par.

Rizzo shot a 67, the day's best score, and moved into second at 137.

Miki Oda was alone in third at 140 after firing her second straight 70.

One shot further back at 141 were Taiwan's Huang Yueh-chyn and Japan's Junko Yasui and Miyuki Shimabukuro. Huang shot a 72, Yasui a 69 and Shimabukuro a 70.

A total of 53 players made the 149 cut and advanced into Sunday's final round. First prize is worth $58,000.
