Lake Mills Rotarians announced for April

LAKE MILLS -- Brevin Jegerlehner of Lakeside Lutheran High School and Calla Borchert and Carly Strauss of Lake Mills High School have been named Lake Mills student Rotarians for April.

Jegerlehner is the son of AJ and Betty Jegerlehner. In his free time, he likes to play sports, hang out with friends and attend Wisconsin football and basketball games.

He has been involved in football, basketball, track, the National Honor Society and student council. He sings in a cappella choir and participated in math meets.

He represented his school at Badger Boys State and is a member of the Rotary Youth Leadership Association. He also participated in Adopt-A-Highway, caroling at nursing homes and volunteering at Twice is Nice Resale Store in Jefferson.

Jegerlehner plans on attending Wisconsin Lutheran College to major in sports management or sports and exercise science.

Borchert is the daughter of Tim and Sarah Borchert. She enjoys playing volleyball, having game nights with her extended family and spending time with friends.

Borchert plays volleyball in a club and on the school team. She has been a four-year varsity starter on the school team and is a captain this year. She has participated in a number of clubs including Spanish Club, Interact Club, Jefferson County Connections, Environmentalists of Lake Mills club and Ski Club. She is also a member of the National Honor Society.

Borchert assisted in the youth volleyball events and with her church.

After graduation, Borchert wants to pursue a career in dental hygiene.

Strauss is the daughter of Bruce and Tammy Strauss. She enjoys riding horses and is interested in sports and fitness. She also shows dairy cattle at shows throughout the country.

Strauss is a member of the equestrian team, Junior Optimist Club, and FFA. She has been a football manager and plays basketball and track. She is also part of the Southside Eagles 4-H and the Wisconsin Junior Holstein. Strauss was on the honor roll ninth through 11th grades.

After graduation, Strauss wants to continue her education to become a large animal veterinarian.
