Longmont Police Notes: Woman Arrested for Arson After Police Find Her Near Brush Fire, Dead Raccoon

Longmont police arrested a woman on suspicion of fourth-degree arson after finding her near a brush fire at Martin Street and Ken Pratt Boulevard. A dead raccoon covered in maggots was found in the brush.

Police responded to an alarm at a business in the 1200 block of S. Main Street on Sunday. An unknown person had damaged the window to try to force entry into the business, but fled before police arrived.

Police responded to the area of Baker Street and Mountain View Avenue on Saturday to located a wanted person. The wanted man fled, but a woman was contacted on Collyer Street and arrested for warrants and on suspicion of narcotic possession.
