ALACHUA, Fla. (AP) _ RTI Surgical Inc. (RTIX) on Thursday reported a loss of $5.5 million in its second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Alachua, Florida-based company said it had a loss of 10 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 3 cents per share.

The orthopedic implant maker posted revenue of $70.7 million in the period.

RTI Surgical expects full-year revenue in the range of $280 million to $290 million.

The company's shares closed at $4.40. A year ago, they were trading at $5.65.
