LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say the suspect who stabbed a security guard at the Palazzo casino-hotel is now in custody.

The stabbing happened at the Las Vegas Strip property just before 7 a.m. Wednesday.

Police say the homeless man was acting erratically on the casino floor when security approached him.

The guard was stabbed in the chest and taken to the hospital in critical condition, though he is expected to survive.

The suspect was then found across the street near the Treasure Island and Mirage resorts.

Police say he was arrested without incident thanks to security footage across the famous resort corridor.
