BULLHEAD CITY — Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are investigating a single-vehicle accident early Saturday in which a 65-year-old Bullhead City man died.

A news release Saturday morning from the department’s Collision Investigation Section withheld the man’s name until family members could be reached.

On Saturday at about 4 a.m. in Las Vegas, the man was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe in the middle of three eastbound lanes on Sunset Road when the vehicle veered to the right near South Pecos Road.

The vehicle jumped onto the sidewalk, struck a light post and several sections of a block wall before coming back to the road and coming to rest, according to police.

The man was taken by ambulance to Sunrise Hospital Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead.

“The driver was possibly experiencing a medical episode prior to the collision,” police said.

This collision remains under investigation and how the man died will be determined by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Attempts to contact the department over the weekend were unsuccessful.
