Working Families Party endorses Eva Bermudez Zimmerman

July 11, 2018

The Connecticut Working Families Party endorsed the top of the Democratic ticket across the board, except for the lieutenant governor race.

The party endorsed union organizer Eva Bermudez Zimmerman for the second-in-command post, passing over former three-term secretary-of-the-state Susan Bysiewicz.

“A lifetime friend of CT Working Families and an advocate for a fairer, more just society since childhood, Eva is exactly the kind of candidate Connecticut needs today,” said Lindsay Farrell, state director of the Connecticut Working Families Party. “We know that, if elected, Eva will fight tooth and nail every day to make real improvements in people’s lives.”

The Working Families Party also endorsed Democrats Ned Lamont for governor, Shawn Wooden for treasurer and William Tong for attorney general.
