Hanover Twp. Receives Grant For Loomis Park Bridge Replacement Project

October 3, 2018

HANOVER TWP. — Hanover Twp. will receive a $535,357 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for the Loomis Park Bridge Replacement Project. The bridge provides access to the Loomis Park development. The grant comes from the agency’s Multimodal Transportation Fund. The project was among the 42 initiatives that received about $49 million in funding. Those included highway, bridge, transit, ports and waterways, and bike and pedestrian projects. Fourteen of the grants went toward local bridges, which PennDOT said was part of an emphasis on helping counties and municipalities tackle their backlog of needed bridge repairs. “With these resources, we can improve transportation connections down to the local level and make a big difference for communities,” Gov. Tom Wolf said in a press release. — STAFF REPORT
