Mary Lucille Lovitt

Mary Lucille Lovitt, 97, of Crab Orchard, passed away October 5, 2018. She was born August 28, 1921 to Lee and Christina (Craney) Truscott near Crab Orchard. She taught country school for 7 years and worked as a nurse at the Johnson County Hospital for 28 years, was member and officer of the Women’s American Legion Auxiliary and served as Village Clerk of Crab Orchard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Hubert (Matilda) Truscott, Harold (Hilda) Truscott, Eva (Truman) McPherrin, James (Pat) Truscott, Bernice (Clifford) Pond, L.H. (Edith) Lovitt, Doris (Parker) Carmichael, Milton (Pauline) Lovitt, sister-in-law, Marguerite Searcey, and husband Scott Lovitt who passed away June 24, 1992.

She is survived by her four children: E. Kay and Eldon Ebeler, Jay R. and Ingrid Lovitt, Lou Ann and Kevin Linehan, and Leon and Wendy Lovitt, grandchildren, Melissa (Joe) Beeber, Angela (Shawn) Latcham, Rebecca (Nathan) Krofta, Andrea (Chris) Ruiz,Christopher (Amber) Lovitt, Sara Lovitt, Daniel Lovitt, Patrick (Alexis) Linehan, Katie Linehan, Meghan Linehan and Shannon (Michael) Seim, great-grand-children, Drayton, Maryn, Alaena, Sawyer, Kye, Isabella, Kellen, Annie, Mitch, Jack, Lucas, Zeke, Zoila and Hayden.

Mass of Christian Burial Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2018, St. Andrew Catholic Church, Tecumseh.

Visitation: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6-7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018,Wherry Mortuary, Tecumseh. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.

Memorials may go the St. Andrew Catholic Church or Johnson County Historical Society.

Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. in the Vesta Cemetery, rural Tecumseh. www.wherrymortuary.com.
