Havasu Police: Man had 4 beers prior to traffic accident
A traffic accident resulted in the arrest of a Lake Havasu City man on drunken driving charges. Lake Havasu City Police say Paul Joseph Cox, 68, faces three misdemeanor DUI charges after he was involved in a traffic accident at Chemehuevi Boulevard on the night of May 18. According to police, Cox hit another car while it was backing into a driveway. When officers arrived, Cox appeared to have issues with his balance.
A breath test showed his blood alcohol content at .174. He told officers he had about three or four beers while visiting the American Legion earlier in the day. He was booked into Lake Havasu City Jail. No injuries were reported.
