Nets Harris Strains Lower Back

February 12, 1999

MILWAUKEE (AP) _ New Jersey guard Lucious Harris strained his lower back in the first minute of the Nets’ game at Milwaukee on Thursday night.

Harris, who has started all four of the Nets’ games, sank his only shot before coming out less than a minute into the game. He was replaced by Kerry Kittles, who had been out since the start of the season with a knee injury.

Harris, a sixth-year pro, was averaging 3.0 points and 2.3 rebounds a game.

The Nets also had Rony Seikaly in uniform. He had been out since the start of the season with an ankle injury.

New Jersey point guard Sam Cassell, who injured his ankle last Saturday at Atlanta, missed his third straight game.
