Police: Suspect Confessed To Nanticoke Hit-and-run

A suspect has confessed to being the driver in a hit-and-run crash that injured 72-year-old Harold Rinehimer as he was crossing the street at East Broad and Market streets in Nanticoke around 10:20 p.m. Jan. 20, police said Thursday. Police are not identifying the suspect and will now try to verify and corroborate the confession before filing charges, Capt. Robert Lehman said. Rinehimer’s health is improving, and he was released Jan. 25 from Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp., Lehman said. — MICHAEL P. BUFFER
