Jackson, Gantz lift NC A&T past Howard 85-81
WASHINGTON (AP) — Ronald Jackson had 16 points to lead five North Carolina A&T players in double figures as the Aggies edged past Howard 85-81 on Saturday. Milik Gantz added 15 points for the Aggies. Amari Hamilton chipped in 13, Ibrahim Sylla scored 10 and Aaren Edmead had 10. Gantz also had seven rebounds for the Aggies, while Sylla posted three blocks.
N.C. A&T (14-11, 9-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) totaled 60 points in the first half, a season high for the team.
Jackson leads NC A&T past Maryland-Eastern Shore 68-61
GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Andre Jackson came off the bench to score 14 points to lead North Carolina A&T to a 68-61 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Monday night.
Ibrahim Sylla had 14 points and nine rebounds for N.C. A&T (13-11, 8-2 Mid-Eastern Conference), which earned its sixth straight home victory. Aaren Edmead added 13 points. Kameron Langley had nine assists for the hosts.
Ryan Andino had 11 points for the Hawks (4-23, 2-10).
Maitland leads Bethune-Cookman past North Carolina A&T 69-53
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Malik Maitland scored 17 points and distributed seven assists and Bethune-Cookman won its second straight by beating North Carolina A&T 69-53 on Monday night
Bethune-Cookman (10-13, 5-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) has won four of its last six with all of the wins coming at home. The Aggies (11-11, 6-2) have dropped two straight following a seven-game win streak.
Jackson has 23 on 9-of-10 shooting; NC A&T beats Coppin St.
GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Ronald Jackson scored a career-high 23 points to help North Carolina A&T beat Coppin State 80-71 on Monday night.
Jackson, who recorded his previous career best with 21 points in a win over Morgan State on Saturday, was 9-of-10 shooting against Coppin State.
NC A&T beats Bethune-Cookman 86-80 behind McGowens
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Davaris McGowens scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Aaren Edmead added 19 points, and North Carolina A&T beat Bethune-Cookman 86-80 on Monday night.
Kameron Langley scored 14 points with nine assists for the Wildcats (18-12, 11-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who shot 42.9 percent from the field and led 49-43 at halftime.
Keyes, NC A&T beat Maryland-Eastern Shore 78-69
GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Denzel Keyes scored 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds to help North Carolina A&T beat Maryland-Eastern Shore 78-69 on Monday night.
Aaren Edmead and Kameron Langley had 15 points apiece and Davaris McGowens had 10 points, two steals and two blocks for North Carolina A&T (17-11, 10-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).
Savannah State beats NC A&T in MEAC showdown
SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Javaris Jenkins scored 21 points, made 4 of 6 from 3-point range and blocked three shots Monday night to help Savannah State beat North Carolina A&T 108-106.
The Tigers (13-13, 10-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) won their ninth straight and extended their lead in the conference standings above the Aggies (15-11, 8-3), their closest challenger.
Khalen Pinkett's dunk with 1:04 left capped a 6-0 run and made it 107-101 for the Tigers.
NC A&T beats Hampton 92-84 behind McGowens’ 21 points
GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Davaris McGowens scored 21 points, Kameron Langley had 17 with seven assists, and North Carolina A&T beat Hampton 92-84 on Saturday for its seventh win in eight games.
Aaren Edmead scored 14 points and Devonte Boykins and Femi Olujobi added 11 apiece for the Aggies (14-9, 7-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who shot 58.6 percent from the field and made 16 free throws.
NC A&T edges UMES 66-64 behind Olujobi
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) — Femi Olujobi scored 17 points and the go-ahead 3-pointer late and North Carolina A&T edged out Maryland-Eastern Shore 66-64 on Saturday to win its fifth straight.
Aaren Edmead scored 14 points with five assists and Davaris McGowens added 11 points with nine rebounds for the Aggies (12-8, 5-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).
The Aggies entered tied for first in the conference standings with North Carolina Central (12-8, 5-0).
Boykins gives NC A&T 71-68 win over Norfolk State
GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Denzel Keyes scored 21 points and Devonte Boykins hit a 3-pointer with 8.1 seconds left to give North Carolina A&T a 71-68 win over Norfolk State on Thursday afternoon, in a game that was postponed twice by weather.
The Aggies (11-8, 4-0 Mideastern Atlantic Conference) used a 25-8 run to open a 38-23 lead at the half. The Spartans (3-15, 1-2) used a 22-6 run to start the second half, taking a 45-44 lead on a layup by Kyle Williams at the 13:34 mark.
McGowens, Edmead help NC A&T beat Coppin State 60-47
GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Davaris McGowens scored 13 points and Aaren Edmead added 10 to help North Carolina A&T beat Coppin State 60-47 on Monday night.
Devante Boykins hit a 3-pointer and Edmead added a layup and a 3 during a 10-3 spurt to open the second half that gave NC A&T (10-8, 3-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) a 37-24 lead. Kameron Langley stole it and fed McGowens for a layup to cap the run and the Aggies led by double figures the rest of the way.
Keyes scores 17, NC A&T beats Delaware State 76-66
DOVER, Del. (AP) — Denzel Keyes scored 17 points on 8-of-10 shooting and Devonte Boykins added 16 points, including four 3-pointers, to help North Carolina A&T beat Delaware State 76-66 on Monday night.
Aaren Edmead had 13 points and seven assists, Davaris McGowens scored 12 points with four steals and Femi Olujobi added 10 points for NC A&T (8-8, 1-0 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference).
