Butler tops Seton Hall 70-68 after losing 17-point lead
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Paul Jorgensen scored 18 points, including the game-winning basket on a goaltending call with 16.1 seconds left, and Butler defeated Seton Hall 70-68 on Saturday after letting a 17-point lead disappear in the final six minutes.
Baldwin scores 21, Butler rolls over Miami (Ohio) 90-67
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Kamar Baldwin, a unanimous choice for the preseason All-Big East Conference team, tossed in 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting and added six assists to guide Butler to a 90-67 romp over Miami (Ohio) in the season opener for both teams on Saturday night.
Last season: 21-14, lost in second round of NCAA Tournament for the third time in four years.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Butler forward Kelan Martin always has been a scorer.
This season, he learned to thrive in a new role — team leader.
It was an awkward position for the 6-foot-7 senior, who had never before been handed the reins to a team and wasn't always keen on speaking his mind. But with only two seniors on a young roster and a new coach in town, Martin stepped forward and made the transformation look smooth and natural.

Wideman scores 23, Butler sweeps Marquette 92-72 in Big East
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Tyler Wideman scored a career-high 23 points with nine rebounds, Kalan Martin scored 16 points, Kamar Baldwin 15 and Butler rode some hot shooting to a 92-72 defeat of Marquette Wednesday night and push its win streak to three games.
Butler pounds Saint Louis 75-45 for 3rd straight win
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Kelan Martin scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Kamar Baldwin added 14 points and Butler crushed Saint Louis 75-45 on Saturday.
Martin and Baldwin combined to shoot 12 of 22 from the field and Butler (6-2) shot 49.1 percent (26 of 53). Butler led 8-0 and never trailed. Javon Bess made a pair of free throws 4½ minutes into the game for Saint Louis' (3-4) first points.
Butler fends off scrappy Princeton for 85-75 victory
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Kelan Martin had a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds and Butler held off feisty Princeton 85-75 on Sunday in the Tigers' season opener.
Kamar Baldwin's jumper with 16:01 left to play gave the Bulldogs a 50-38 lead, but Princeton methodically began chipping away and drew to 68-64 10 minutes later. After Mike LeBlanc's jumper with 3:39 left, Butler used an 8-2 run to create a safe cushion and held on for the win.
