UMBC's Joe Sherburne made two free throws with 15 seconds left for the final margin after Alex Rivera made a steal and basket with 1:05 to go to get UMass Lowell within two.
Arkel Lamar had 17 points and eight rebounds for UMBC (17-10, 9-3 America East Conference). Sherburne added 12 points. Brandon Horvath had seven rebounds for the home team.
UMass Lowell rallies late to edge Binghamton 85-79

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Christian Lutete scored a career-high 35 points, and Obadiah Noel's jump shot with 54 seconds served as the go-ahead basket and UMass Lowell beat Hartford 76-73 on Saturday.
Lutete made 11 of 18 from the field, including 7 of 12 from 3-point range, Noel scored 23 and Josh Gantz scored 10.
Noel with 22 points leads UMass Lowell past Albany 84-72
LOWELL, Mass. (AP) — Obadiah Noel scored 22 points and led five players in double-figure scoring as UMass Lowell rallied in the second half to beat Albany 84-72 on Wednesday night.

DURHAM, N.H. (AP) — Jayden Martinez recorded 12 points and 10 rebounds to lift New Hampshire to a 68-64 win over UMass Lowell on Wednesday night, breaking the Wildcats' 11-game losing streak.
Josh Hopkins had 19 points for New Hampshire (3-12, 1-1 America East Conference). David Watkins added 13 points and nine rebounds.
After falling behind 31-30 at halftime, New Hampshire outscored UMass Lowell 38-33 in the second half to earn the 4-point victory.

Sophomores lead Duquesne past UMass Lowell 83-71
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Eric Williams Jr. finished with 22 points, five rebounds and four steals and Michael Hughes scored a career-high 19 to power Duquesne to an 83-71 victory over UMass Lowell on Sunday.
Williams hit all five of his shots, including three 3-pointers, and 9 of 13 free throws for the Dukes (4-1). Hughes knocked down 8 of 10 shots, grabbed six rebounds and added two blocks. Marcus Weathers pitched in with 10 points and six boards.
UMass Lowell beats Sacred Heart 94-90 behind Jones

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Christian Lutete scored 25 points and grabbed five rebounds and Massachusetts-Lowell beat Army 92-85 on Saturday.
Lutete was 9 of 13 from the field including four from distance for the River Hawks (2-3). Obadiah Noel added 19 points and five rebounds, Alex Rivera had 16 points and Josh Gantz scored 15 points with seven rebounds and four assists.
Cambridge scores 23, Brown beats UMass Lowell 82-74
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Desmond Cambridge scored 23 points on Friday night, and Brown pulled away late in the first half and then held on for an 82-74 win over UMass-Lowell.
Brandon Anderson added 12 points and six assists, and Chris Sullivan scored 11 for the Bears (1-2).
The game was closely contested for the first 14 minutes before Brown scored 14 straight points to build a 43-28 lead late in the first half. The Bears had their largest lead at 47-30 on the opening basket of the second half.
Hot-shooting Central Connecticut downs UMass Lowell 86-74
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Tyler Kohl scored 26 points with four 3-pointers, Ian Krishnan added 15 points with three 3s and Central Connecticut shot 61 percent from the field in beating UMass Lowell 86-74 on Tuesday night.
Jamir Coleman added nine points for the Blue Devils (2-1), who finished 12 of 24 from long distance.
The River Hawks (1-2) closed to 63-53 on a 16-4 run capped by Allin Blunt's layup, but CCSU replied with a 15-4 run and led by 20 points on Will Ellis' 3 with 4:59 left.
