SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) — JoJo Cooper had an almost perfect night shooting to total a career-best 23 points, leading Wagner to its third straight win, holding off Bryant 71-62 on Thursday night.
Cooper knocked down all three from long range, made 4 of 4 from the line and 8 of 9 field goal attempts overall. Blake Francis added 16 points and Romone Saunders chipped in 11 while hauling down 10 rebounds for Wagner (11-5, 4-1 Northeast Conference).
Francis helps Wagner fend off Fairfield 78-76
NEW YORK (AP) — Blake Francis scored 19 points and hit two free throws with three seconds left in the game to help Wagner hold off Fairfield 78-76 on Friday night.
JoJo Cooper added 16 points and eight assists for the Seahawks (5-1), who earned their fourth straight victory and continued their best start under sixth-year coach Bashir Mason. Nigel Jackson scored 14 and A.J. Sumbry snared 10 rebounds as Wagner won the battle of the boards 38-30.
Wagner hot from 3-point line in 72-50 win over Hartford
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Blake Francis, Devin Liggeons and JoJo Cooper each made three 3-pointers and Wagner defeated Hartford 72-50 on Sunday.
The Seahawks (4-1) have won three straight and are off to their best start in Bashir Mason's six-year tenure as head coach.
Francis scored 17 points, Liggeons 14 with six rebounds and Cooper added 13 points with eight assists. The Seahawks shot 48 percent overall and 53 percent (10 of 19) from the arc.
