NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Steven Whitley had a season-high 24 points as Norfolk State got past Howard 75-69 in the Mid-Eastern Conference Tourney semifinals on Friday night.
Jackson, Gantz lift NC A&T past Howard 85-81
WASHINGTON (AP) — Ronald Jackson had 16 points to lead five North Carolina A&T players in double figures as the Aggies edged past Howard 85-81 on Saturday. Milik Gantz added 15 points for the Aggies. Amari Hamilton chipped in 13, Ibrahim Sylla scored 10 and Aaren Edmead had 10. Gantz also had seven rebounds for the Aggies, while Sylla posted three blocks.
N.C. A&T (14-11, 9-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) totaled 60 points in the first half, a season high for the team.
Norfolk State rallies from 24 down, beats Howard 80-78
WASHINGTON (AP) — Mastadi Pitt made a pair of foul shots with two seconds left and Norfolk State rallied from a 24-point, second-half deficit to beat Howard 80-78 on Saturday and remain unbeaten in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
Jordan Butler led the Spartans with 21 points and 10 rebounds. The final score was the Spartans' only lead. They trailed 45-30 at halftime and were down by 24 after Howard went on a 10-1 run to start the second half.
Williams scores 30 to lead Howard past Delaware State 80-74
WASHINGTON (AP) — Charles Williams matched his season high with 30 points as Howard topped Delaware State 80-74 on Saturday.
RJ Cole had 19 points for Howard (9-12, 3-3 Mid-Eastern Conference), which broke its four-game home losing streak. Chad Lott added 15 points and six assists. Cole and Lott combined for 11 of the Bison's 18 assists.
Howard takes out SC St 71-67 in OT behind Cole’s 26 pts
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — RJ Cole scored 26 points, distributed six assists and grabbed four rebounds and Howard snapped its two-game skid beating South Carolina State 71-67 in overtime on Saturday.
Howard (8-11, 2-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) got 19 points and six rebounds from Chad Lott and the Bison finished 12 of 15 from the free throw line. South Carolina State (4-16, 2-2) saw its two-game win streak come to an end.
Parks sparks Bethune-Cookman in win over Howard
WASHINGTON (AP) — Mark Gordon scored 22 points and hit 5 of 7 3-pointers, Wali Parks scored 10 points, including nine straight in a game-changing 11-2 run in the final 2:01, and Bethune-Cookman beat Howard 71-63 on Saturday.
Cletrell Pope scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for his ninth double-double for the Wildcats (6-10, 1-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who held the Bison to 31-percent shooting and led 36-30 at halftime.
Florida A&M snaps streak, beats Howard 82-72 in MEAC opener
WASHINGTON (AP) — Justin Ravenel scored 20 points and led five players into double-figure scoring as Florida A&M snapped a five-game losing streak by knocking off Howard, 82-72 to win a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference opener Saturday.
Florida A&M played nonconference games in Jamaica, Chicago, Memphis, Salt Lake City and had trips to Oregon and California in the preseason, and played just one home game since November 10.
George Washington holds off DC rival Howard 70-64
WASHINGTON (AP) — DJ Williams scored 18 points and Terry Nolan Jr. 17, including a 3-pointer in the final seconds, and George Washington held off District of Columbia rival Howard 70-64 on Friday night.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Howard's Big Three of Chad Lott, RJ Cole and Charles Williams teamed up to score 65 points and Howard made 6 of 8 free throws in the final 27 seconds to hold off American University 85-83 on Saturday.
Lott, Cole power Howard past Washington Adventist, 115-91
WASHINGTON (AP) — Chad Lott scored 18 first-half points and RJ Cole scored 17 in the second and Howard pulled away from NAIA-member Washington Adventist for a 115-91 victory in the Bison's season opener on Wednesday night.
Shyheim Gilkerson's layup with 6:10 left in the first half got the Shock within two, 32-30, but Lott hit a jumper and knocked down a 3 and Howard went into intermission with a 46-40 advantage after Washington Adventist's Charles Vine hit a 3 at the buzzer.
Rice blocks season-high 10 shots, beats FIU 89-78
MIAMI (AP) — Marcus Evans had four 3-pointers, 27 points, six rebounds and four assists, Egor Koulechov added 20 points and seven rebounds, and Rice beat Florida International 89-78 on Thursday night.
Rice, which won its third straight, has scored 80-plus in 16 games this season to tie a program record set in the 1970-71 season.
Evans was 8 of 17 from the floor and hit seven straight free throws for his 13th 20-plus game of the season. It was Koulechov's 11th such scoring game.
Koulechov, Evans help Rice beat Southern Miss 61-58
HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) — Egor Koulechov had 16 points and 13 rebounds, Marcus Evans hit three 3-pointers and finished with 17 points and Rice held on for a 61-58 win over Southern Miss on Saturday.
Chad Lott scored 11 for Rice (13-8, 3-4 Conference USA), which led by as many as 24 in the second half before missing 12 of its final 14 shots.
Rice holds off Northwestern State 100-93
HOUSTON (AP) — Marcus Jackson scored 19 points, including four 3-pointers, and Connor Cashaw got his first double-double to lead Rice in a 100-93 win over Northwestern State on Monday night.
Egor Koulechov added 14 points, Marcus Evans had 12 and Chad Lott 10 for Rice (9-3). Cashaw finished with 13 points and a career-high 10 rebounds.
