49ers place Dekoda Watson in IR with hamstring injury
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — The San Francisco 49ers have placed linebacker Dekoda Watson on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.
The 49ers made the move on Saturday, a day after Watson got hurt in practice. Watson will miss at least eight weeks before he can be activated.
Watson played 14 games last season and had three tackles on defense and six special teams tackles. He is one of the few natural edge rushers on the team, leaving a hole when the season starts Sunday at Minnesota.
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Arik Armstead has been sidelined by a hamstring injury.
The 49ers announced Tuesday that Armstead is week-to-week because of the injury. The team also said tight end Cole Hikutini will miss practice this week with a groin injury and right guard Joshua Garnett is day to day with a knee injury.

The team announced the move to part ways with the 34-year-old Dumervil on Friday. The 49ers also said they tendered a one-year contract to exclusive rights free agent running back Raheem Mostert and picked up the 2018 contract option for linebacker Dekoda Watson.

NFL players to participate in flag football game for Koda’s Kids weekend
This year's installment of the Koda's Kids weekend will start a little different than in year's past. The annual event put on by Former South Aiken High School football standout Dekoda Watson will kickoff with a flag football game between area high school stars and NFL players on Thursday night at Aiken High School.
Watson, who signed with the San Francisco 49ers during the offseason, enlisted the help of a few current and former NFL players for Thursday night's game.

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dekoda Watson will hold the fourth annual Koda’s Kids Foundation Golf Tournament on Friday, July 14, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
The tournament will be held at the Woodside Plantation Country Club, Woodside Plantation Drive, Aiken, and registration will begin at 8 a.m.
This year, the tournament will be a 3-person Captain’s Choice format, and mulligans will be sold.
The event includes door prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive, and best dressed.
49ers sign linebacker Dekoda Watson to 3-year deal
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — The San Francisco 49ers have signed free agent linebacker Dekoda Watson to a three-year contract.
The team announced the move on Friday night.
Watson, a seven-year NFL veteran who spent the last two seasons with Denver, is a special teams standout. He led the Broncos with 11 tackles on special teams last year in just nine games.
