Cardinals avoid arbitration with Wacha, Ozuna and Leone
ST. LOUIS (AP) — The Cardinals and right-hander Michael Wacha avoided arbitration by agreeing to a $6.35 million contract, a raise of $1.05 million.
St. Louis also agreed to one-year deals with outfielder Marcell Ozuna at $12.25 million and right-hander Dominic Leone at $1.26 million.
Wacha's 2018 season was interrupted by a strained muscle in his left side. Limited to 15 starts for St. Louis, he went 8-2 with a 3.20 ERA.
MILWAUKEE (AP) — Right-hander Alex Reyes was activated from the 60-day disabled list by the St. Louis Cardinals after recovering from Tommy John surgery and was set to start against Milwaukee in his first major league appearance since Sept. 29, 2016.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Ryan Braun walked away in the eighth and walked off in the ninth.
Braun and Christian Yelich hit consecutive homers off Dominic Leone with two out in the ninth, sending the Milwaukee Brewers to a 5-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday night.
Leone (0-1) retired the first two batters, but then lost Yelich on a 2-2 pitch before Braun whacked the next one for his fourth career game-ending homer.
Cardinals trade OF Randal Grichuk to Toronto for 2 pitchers
ST. LOUIS (AP) — Randal Grichuk wasn't too thrilled about the idea of playing in a reserve role this season for the St. Louis Cardinals.
