NEW YORK (AP) — Marcus Weathers had 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead five Duquesne players in double figures as the Dukes beat Fordham 74-66 on Saturday. Sincere Carry added 14 points for the Dukes. Eric Williams Jr. chipped in 12, Michael Hughes scored 11 and Tavian Dunn-Martin had 10. Hughes also had 12 rebounds for the Dukes.

Weathers helps Duquesne upend Saint Louis 77-73
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Marcus Weathers scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half when Duquesne took control, led for all of the final 20 minutes and knocked off the Atlantic 10 Conference's lone unbeaten Saint Louis 77-73 Wednesday night.
Frankie Hughes opened the second half with a jumper that gave Duquesne (14-5, 5-1) a 37-36 lead. Weathers added a 3-point play and Saint Louis was unable to regain the lead. The Dukes have won five straight for the first time since the 2010-11 season.
Williams with 16 points leads Duquesne past Fordham 66-61
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Eric Williams Jr. scored 16 points with 13 rebounds and Duquesne snapped a two-game skid, beating Fordham 66-61 on Wednesday night.
Marcus Weathers added 12 points for the Dukes (10-5, 1-1 Atlantic 10 Conference) and Amari Kelly had 11.
Brinson, Lewis have double-doubles; NJIT beats Duquesne
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Zach Cooks scored 22 points, San Antonio Brinson and Abdul Lewis each had a double-double, and NJIT beat Duquesne 78-67 on Monday.
Brinson finished with 15 points and a career-high 15 rebounds and Lewis added 11 points, 16 boards and a career-best tying six assists. Lewis has 17 double-doubles — the most in NJIT history — since transferring from South Alabama following the 2014-15 season.
Big first half sparks Duquesne’s 72-46 win over Maine
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Marcus Weathers scored 13 points and Duquesne led from start to finish in a 72-46 victory over Maine on Sunday.
The Dukes, who improved to 8-2 under second-year coach Keith Dambrot, opened the game with a 26-7 run over the first 13 minutes and led 40-16 at halftime.
Maine (2-10) was led by Isaiah White with a game-high 17 points and Vilgot Larsson with 10 points.
Williams, Norman spark Duquesne comeback over Longwood 80-71
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Eric Williams, Jr. started a comeback midway through the second half with a 3-pointer as Duquesne stormed back from 15 points down and surged past Longwood 80-71 on Sunday afternoon.
Williams scored 22 points with 12 rebounds, Lamar Norman Jr. added 15 points and Tavian Dunn-Martin 11 — all in the second half —with six assists and Duquesne (6-2) remained a perfect 5-0 at the A.J. Palumbo Center.
Sophomores lead Duquesne past UMass Lowell 83-71
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Eric Williams Jr. finished with 22 points, five rebounds and four steals and Michael Hughes scored a career-high 19 to power Duquesne to an 83-71 victory over UMass Lowell on Sunday.
Williams hit all five of his shots, including three 3-pointers, and 9 of 13 free throws for the Dukes (4-1). Hughes knocked down 8 of 10 shots, grabbed six rebounds and added two blocks. Marcus Weathers pitched in with 10 points and six boards.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Eric Williams Jr. scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Duquesne won its season opener, beating William & Mary 84-70 on Saturday.
Austin Rotroff added another 17 points and seven rebounds for the Dukes (1-0) before fouling out. Michael Hughes had 13 points and seven rebounds and Marcus Weathers had nine points and six rebounds.
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Tydus Verhoeven scored a career-high 21 points, Eric Williams Jr. added 20 and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Duquesne shot a season-high 56.5 percent from the field in beating Saint Louis 76-69 on Wednesday night to end a six-game skid and split the season series.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Shavar Newkirk had 26 points and a career-high ten assists and Saint Joseph's rolled in an 82-75 victory over Duquesne on Saturday night for its third-straight win.
Newkirk was 7 of 15 from the field, made 10 of 11 free throws and collected his third double-double. Nick Robinson had season highs with 16 points and 11 rebounds for Saint Joseph's (12-14, 7-7 Atlantic 10 Conference).
Duquesne gets 1st win at George Washington since 2010, 75-73
WASHINGTON (AP) — Eric Williams Jr. hit the second of two free throws with 11 seconds left to allow Duquesne to hold off George Washington, 75-73 to earn just their second win in five Atlantic 10 Conference road games Wednesday night.
The Dukes lost on the road at conference-leader Rhode Island, snapped a five-game losing streak at the Smith Center and beat the Colonials on their home court for the first time since February 6, 2010.

Robinson was averaging 10 points a game. He felt it worked to his advantage that he was not viewed as threat by Duquesne (14-8, 5-4).

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Freshman Eric Williams Jr. poured in a career-high 34 points, hitting 9 of 15 from 3-point range, and grabbed 11 rebounds for his third straight double-double and ninth of the season as Duquesne held off George Mason 95-89 in double overtime on Saturday.
VCU wins 15th straight A-10 home game, beats Duquesne 78-67
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Jonathan Williams scored 21 points, Justin Tillman had 10 points and a season-high 17 rebounds, and VCU beat Duquesne 78-67 on Tuesday night.
VCU (11-6, 3-1 Atlantic 10 Conference) has won 15 straight conference home games dating to the 2015-16 season. Duquesne (12-5, 3-1) had its three-game win streak snapped.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Eric Williams Jr. scored 21 points with 12 rebounds and Duquesne beat George Washington 69-52 on Wednesday night.
Williams started the game and made the Dukes' first two baskets — a pair of 3-pointers — and ended it scoring three of their last four with a dunk and a pair of 3s. Williams finished 5-of-6 shooting from 3-point range.
Duquesne closes strong to win A-10 opener 70-62 over Dayton
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Rene Castro-Caneddy scored 21 points, Eric Williams Jr. added 15 and Duquesne closed with a 10-1 run to open Atlantic-10 play with a 70-62 win over Dayton on Saturday.
The Flyers erased a seven-point deficit with a 7-0 run midway through the second half and pulled within one on a jumper by Josh Cunningham with 5:33 remaining. Jalen Crutcher followed with two free throws to put the Flyers ahead 61-60 at 4:46. After that Dayton missed its final seven shots and made one free throw.
Duquesne wins 5th straight, 74-58 over NC A&T
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Mike Lewis II scored 10 of Duquesne's first 21 points and finished with 16 points, Rene Castro-Caneddy had all 15 of his points in the second half and the Dukes beat North Carolina A&T 74-58 on Sunday for their fifth consecutive victory.
It's the Dukes' longest winning streak since 11 straight in 2010-11.
Smith, Williams power Duquesne past winless MVSU, 73-49
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Tarin Smith came off the bench to score 16 points and Eric Williams Jr. added 10 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished five assists as Duquesne won its fourth straight game, beating winless Mississippi Valley State 73-49 on Wednesday night.
Duquesne forced the Delta Devils into 16 turnovers and blocked 10 shots, with Tydus Verhoeven rejecting five.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Mike Lewis II scored 23 points with a career-high seven 3-pointers, Eric Williams Jr. added 22 points, and Duquesne hit a school-record 18 3-pointers in beating Delaware State 97-48 on Saturday to win its third straight.
The 49-point margin of victory was the largest by a Duquesne team since a school-record 129-59 win over Howard on Nov. 9. 2007 and it's the first time the Dukes held an opponent to under 50 points since a 67-45 win over St. Louis on Jan. 12, 2011.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Tarin Smith made four 3-pointers and finished with 20 points and freshman Eric Williams Jr. had his fourth double-double to lead Duquesne to a 73-59 win over Stetson on Wednesday night.
Williams had 11 points, a career-high 16 rebounds, four assists and two steals for Duquesne (4-3). Mike Lewis II added 17 points, including four 3s.
Duquesne beats Maryland-Eastern Shore 86-61
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Mike Lewis II scored 29 points on 10-of-12 shooting, Eric Williams Jr. added a career-high 24 points to go with 11 boards and Duquesne beat Maryland-Eastern Shore 86-61 on Monday night.
Lewis was 6 of 7 from 3-point range and Williams was 4 of 6. It was Williams' third double-double of the season.
The Dukes (3-3) made 14 of 29 (48.3 percent) from the arc and had a 44-27 edge in rebounding. Tarin Smith added 10 points and Kellon Taylor had eight rebounds and seven assists.
Morgan scores 24, Cornell beats Duquesne 78-71
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Matt Morgan had 15 of his 24 points after the break and Cornell, after trailing much of the way, rallied in the second half to beat Duquesne 78-71 on Monday night.
The Big Red (3-3) had a 17-4 run to lead 67-54 on Steven Julian's dunk just before the five-minute mark. The Dukes (2-2) cut the deficit to 72-66 with 54 seconds left and got no closer.
McConnell, Petteway spark Robert Morris to 1st win, 66-59
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Matty McConnell and Malik Petteway scored 13 points each and a Petteway drive sparked a 15-9 closing run as Robert Morris pulled away over the final six minutes to defeat Duquesne 66-59 Sunday night and pick up its first win.
Duquesne downs VMI 77-61 behind 22 points from Lewis
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Mike Lewis II scored 22 points with four 3-pointers, the Dukes scored 27 points off of 24 Keydets turnovers, and Duquesne beat VMI 77-61 on Tuesday night.
Tarin Smith added 21 points, Rene Castro-Caneddy had 14, and Eric Williams Jr. grabbed nine rebounds for Duquesne (2-0), which never trailed and outscored VMI 30-22 in the paint.
Duquesne holds off St. Francis (BKN), 80-70 in Dambrot debut
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Rene Castro-Caneddy and Tarin Smith combined to score 40 points as Duquesne held off St. Francis Brooklyn, 80-70 in the season opener Saturday night.
The win is Duquesne's first under Keith Dambrot, who takes over after 13 seasons coaching Akron. Duquesne now is 80-4 when opening the season at home.
