Alex Morgan apologizes for weekend incident at Disney park
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Alex Morgan has apologized on social media for an incident at Disney World over the weekend.
Morgan, a star for the World Cup-winning U.S. national team who also plays for the Orlando Pride, was among three soccer players kicked out of an Epcot park restaurant on Sunday. Authorities say the players were verbally aggressive with park security and other guests.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Cyle Larin and Giles Barnes scored first-half goals and Orlando City held on after having two men sent off late in the second half to beat D.C. United 2-1 on Saturday night.
Dom Dwyer set up the opening goal with a low hard cross in the 19th minute that Larin finished. Barnes made it 2-0 in the 28th minute, getting an open look after a defensive miscue left a loose ball at his feet.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Giles Barnes scored in the 67th minute and Orlando City tied the Columbus Crew 1-1 on Saturday night to keep its slim playoff hopes alive.
Cristian Higuita set up Barnes for an angled shot that ricocheted off both posts and into the net.
Lalas Abubakar scored his first goal of the season off a set piece in the 35th minute for Columbus (11-12-3). The goal was set up off a free kick to the right of the box near the sideline after a foul on Toia.

Timbers eliminated from playoffs with 4-1 loss to Vancouver
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Giles Barnes scored twice and the Vancouver Whitecaps beat the Portland Timbers 4-1 on Sunday to eliminate the defending MLS Cup champions from the playoffs.
Both of Barnes' goals came in the first half at BC Place and the Timbers couldn't catch up. The Whitecaps (10-15-9) had already been eliminated from the playoffs but they claimed the Pacific Northwest's Cascadia Cup on goal differential with the victory.
Gerrard, Rowe lead Galaxy to 1-0 win over Dynamo
CARSON, Calif. (AP) — Steven Gerrard scored the game's only goal and Brian Rowe made four saves to lead the Los Angeles Galaxy to a 1-0 victory over Houston Dynamo on Friday night.
Gerrard scored from the center of the box in the 66th minute. Baggio Husidic connected with a streaking Robbie Keane on a long feed, but goalkeeper Joe Willis deflected Keane's shot and Gerrard raced in and rolled a right-footer into the lower-right corner of the net.
