Jakobi Meyers impressive as Patriots rout Lions 31-3
DETROIT (AP) — If Jakobi Meyers wanted to, he could probably use his status as an undrafted rookie as motivation.
Not need for that, the New England receiver says. The Patriots gave him an...

NC State WR Meyers skipping final season to enter NFL draft
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina State wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is skipping his final season to enter the NFL draft.
The school announced the redshirt junior's decision on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after the Wolfpack lost to Texas A&M in the Gator Bowl. Meyers came to N.C. State as a quarterback but moved to receiver and set a single-season school receptions record with 92 catches for 1,047 yards this year.
NC State beats East Carolina 58-3 in regular-season finale
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Garrett Bradbury had been waiting for his chance.
North Carolina State's all-Atlantic Coast Conference center lined up in the backfield, took the handoff and bulled his way for a short touchdown in Saturday's 58-3 win against East Carolina. But instead of keeping the ball, he gave it to linemate Terrone Prescod, who promptly punted it into the stands in a flag-drawing celebration.
No. 22 NC State hosts Wake looking to continue climbing
Wake Forest (4-5, 1-4 ACC) at No. 22 North Carolina State (6-2, 3-2, No. 14 CFP), Thursday, 7:30 p.m. EST (ESPN).
NC State snaps 2-game skid, rolls past Florida State 47-28
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina State corrected many of the problems that had plagued the Wolfpack during two straight losses, namely by getting off to a fast start and running the ball well.
As for Florida State, there was no such strong response — only a second straight lopsided loss that inched the Seminoles closer to the end of decades-long streaks of success.
NC State’s Louis set to face Georgia State; Meyers uncertain
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina State should have graduate receiver Stephen Louis back for Saturday's game against Georgia State. It's still unclear if fellow wideout Jakobi Meyers will be in the lineup with him.
Louis missed the season-opening win against James Madison due to a tight hamstring that had bothered him during preseason. But coach Dave Doeren said after Thursday morning's practice that he expects Louis will play Saturday after practicing two straight days.
Meyers helps NC State beat James Madison 24-13 in opener
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Jakobi Meyers has offered North Carolina State quarterback Ryan Finley a simple suggestion when it comes to throwing his way.
"He says just put it in his area code," Finley said.
He spent nearly all of Saturday's season opener backing it up, too. The wideout had career highs of 14 catches for 161 yards, including two big third-down grabs on the clinching late drive that helped the Wolfpack hold off James Madison 24-13.
Trio of big wideouts give Wolfpack potential pass-game punch
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — From the day Dave Doeren took over at North Carolina State, he knew he needed to find and develop bigger receivers.
Now entering Doeren's sixth season, the Wolfpack's top receivers are all big-bodied targets with the ability to make contested catches. And with an NFL prospect in quarterback Ryan Finley, it's easy to see why there's so much optimism in Raleigh about the team's potential to move the ball through the air.
‘Simple execution’ costs NC State in loss at Wake Forest
A fumble at the goal line, an interception in the end zone and mishandled, bobbled, uncaught passes... drops: "Simple execution, that was it."
Shawn Boone said the words, applying it to NC State's defensive failures, but it's the serve-all explanation for what the Pack (7-4, 5-2 ACC) lacked in its 30-24 loss to Wake Forest.
As the Wolfpack chased the lead on the road the entire game, tying the score four different times but never leading, the team was never as sharp as it needed to be.
