He homered twice to back a strong start by Miles Mikolas and lift the St. Louis Cardinals to a 3-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday.
Molina's two-run homer in the sixth inning off reliever Jeremy Jeffress gave St. Louis the lead and the Cardinals held on behind the solid pitching of Mikolas and four relievers.
CINCINNATI (AP) — A resurgent night for the Brewers' struggling offense ended with the bullpen stealing the show again.

Reliever Jeremy Jeffress emphatically pumped his fists several times after getting Chase Headley to hit into a bases-loaded double play in the 11th, and then Orlando Arcia singled in Choi with two outs in the 12th inning.
After spending the first week of Cactus League games on the sidelines, All-Star closer Corey Knebel and the rest of Milwaukee’s mainstay relievers joined the fray on Thursday in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Brewers: Relief pitcher Jeremy Jeffress returns to Milwaukee in deadline deal with Texas
MILWAUKEE — Who says you can’t rewrite history?
A year after he shipped closer Jeremy Jeffress to the Texas Rangers, Milwaukee Brewers general manager David Stearns re-acquired the right-hander Monday in a potential low-risk, high-reward deal ahead of baseball’s annual non-waiver trade deadline.
MILWAUKEE (AP) — The Brewers have reacquired right-hander Jeremy Jeffress, a year after sending their former closer and first-round draft pick to the Texas Rangers.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — The Los Angeles Angels are getting into a habit they hope never ends.
Eight games into the season the Angels appear to have mastered the art of the comeback, rallying again Tuesday night with three runs in the ninth to tie the Texas Rangers before winning it 6-5 in the 10th on catcher Carlos Perez's squeeze bunt.
Projected record: 84-78Projected run differential: +24The Rangers have greatly outperformed their Pythagorean record the past two seasons, and the projection systems used in this exercise expect some regression in that regard for 2017. Having Jonathan Lucroy for a full season will help, and Carlos Gomez is projected to be about league-average after rediscovering his form in Texas. The caliber of the Rangers' rotation drops off considerably once you get past Yu Darvish and Cole Hamels. Martin Perez, Andre Cashner, Tyson Ross and A.J. Griffin are all far from being called reliable, though each has a certain level of upside. A bullpen led by Sam Dyson, Matt Bush and Jeremy Jeffress should be effective, as Texas has several reliable arms at its disposal.
