Tip-in at buzzer lifts No. 19 LSU past No. 5 Kentucky
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — A tip-in at the buzzer by Kavell Bigby-Williams helped No. 19 LSU finish off its biggest comeback of the season and finally beat Kentucky.
The Tigers have won six games on the road this season after Tuesday night's 73-71 victory over the No. 5 Wildcats. They've survived several close calls. LSU has won three overtime games in the Southeastern Conference and the last three games have been decided by less than five points.
Waters, Mays lead No. 21 LSU past Auburn, 83-78
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Tremont Waters and the No. 21 LSU Tigers have looked unfazed by double-digit deficits lately.
It helps to have dynamic play from experienced guards and a formidable combination of size and strength in the paint.
Waters had 19 points and 10 assists, Naz Reid had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and LSU rallied from 16 points down to beat Auburn 83-78 on Saturday.
LSU beats South Carolina 89-67 for seventh consecutive win
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Emmitt Williams and Naz Reid each scored 15 points as LSU extended its winning streak to seven games by defeating South Carolina 89-67 in a Southeastern Conference game Saturday night.
The Tigers (14-3, 4-0), who led for nearly the entire game, have won their first four SEC games for the first time in 13 seasons. LSU's 2006 Final Four team won its first seven conference games.
LSU cruises past No. 18 Ole Miss 83-69; 3-0 in SEC
OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — Ole Miss freshman Blake Hinson went hard to the rim, rising up into the air to try and send home a huge one-handed dunk. The only problem was LSU's Kavell Bigby-Williams was right there to meet him, delivering a crushing two-handed block that crammed the ball back toward the floor.
The Rebels hadn't lost in nearly two months. That was about to change in a hurry.
Freshmen power LSU past Incarnate Word 91-50
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Freshmen Naz Reid and Ja'vonte Smart scored 16 points apiece as LSU defeated Incarnate Word 91-50 in a nonconference game Sunday.
Reid's 16 points were his most since he had 29 in the second game of the season against North Carolina-Greensboro. Smart's 16 points matched his season high. Smart scored 16 points against both Louisiana Tech and Florida State.

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Very little came easily for LSU in a back-and-forth game against Louisiana Tech.
It was up to freshman Ja'vonte Smart to bail out the 22nd-ranked Tigers. Smart scored 16 points, and his late 3-pointer put LSU ahead for good in a 74-67 victory on Friday night.

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — LSU basketball coach Will Wade says 6-foot-11 Oregon forward Kavell Bigby-Williams is transferring to LSU this fall.
The former national junior college player of the year will redshirt one year before becoming eligible to compete with the Tigers in 2018-19.
In primarily a reserve role, the England native helped the Oregon Ducks advance to the 2017 Final Four.
Brooks, Sorkin lead No. 23 Oregon past Western Oregon 93-54
EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Preseason All-America Dillon Brooks scored 21 points and Roman Sorkin had 15 as No. 23 Oregon rolled to a 93-54 victory over Western Oregon on Wednesday night.
Chris Boucher added 14 points and eight rebounds for the Ducks (6-2), who won their fourth straight game and 29th in a row at home. Tyler Dorsey had 12 points.
