Florida’s Mike White searches for answers amid slow start
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida coach Mike White has three guys he can count on to bring energy and effort every day. Problem is two of them are freshmen.
Although that might bode well for the future of the program, it's not how the Gators were expected to play in White's fourth season. So the coach is scratching his head and searching for answers as Florida (8-5, 0-1 Southeastern Conference) prepares to play at Arkansas (10-3, 1-0) on Wednesday night.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Jalen Hudson had one thing left to do after Florida's sixth consecutive victory.
"We got to wipe down everything with some Clorox and bleach," Hudson said.
It might have helped more a few weeks ago.
Egor Koulechov scored 23 points, including Florida's first 13 of the game, and the sick and short-handed Gators beat Mississippi State 71-54 on Wednesday night for their longest winning streak of the season.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — No. 23 Florida is growing but not quite grown, and coach Mike White chalked up the wildness of a victory Tuesday night to it just being an "odd game."
Keith Stone had 14 points, including a pair of key 3-pointers during the second half, and Florida rallied after squandering an 18-point lead to beat Alabama 80-67.
"I'm not sure if these same guys would have been capable of winning a game like this last season," White said. "I'm proud of my guys. We're getting better."
