Former England batsman Geoffrey Boycott is recovering from quadruple open heart bypass surgery, his family said Tuesday.
In a statement posted on her father's official Twitter account, Emma Boycott said the 77-year-old Yorkshireman had the procedure in Leeds, northern England, on June 27 and spent 10 days in a cardiac critical care unit.
Responding to a post from a well-wisher, Boycott said he was "resting," with his daughter typing the replies on his behalf.
