LEESVILLE, La. (AP) — A Louisiana soldier is accused of driving while drunk and causing a wreck that killed a soldier from West Virginia in November.
Authorities say 26-year-old Alejandro Galvan Jr. of Leesville is being held on charges of reckless driving and vehicular homicide in the death of 22-year-old William Rhodes of Hurricane, West Virginia.
Both were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division at Fort Polk, Louisiana.

2 arrested in connection with Leesville soldier’s death
LEESVILLE, La. (AP) — Two Leesville residents have been arrested in connection with the death of a Fort Polk soldier missing since September.
Vernon Parish Sheriff Sam Craft says 40-year-old Wanda Gordon and 27-year-old Tobias Williams each face one count of first-degree murder and obstruction of justice. Bond for each was set at $3 million. It's unknown if either is represented by an attorney.
Teen accused of killing 16 hogs
LEESVILLE, La. (AP) — A 17-year-old Rosepine boy has been accused of killing 16 domesticated hogs on someone's property.
