Washington at Arizona State highlights week in the Pac-12
A look at things to watch this week in the Pac-12 Conference:
Dickerson scores 21, leads Washington past USC 75-62
SEATTLE (AP) — Through the first seven games of Pac-12 play, Noah Dickerson had yet to find his way at the offensive end. He was harassed and frustrated and unable to have anywhere close to the production expected from Washington's senior forward.
Washington can only hope Wednesday night's performance by Dickerson is just the start.
"I told you we had a tank," Washington coach Mike Hopkins said.
Washington rallies from 13-point hole, tops Cal St Fullerton
SEATTLE (AP) — Washington head coach Mike Hopkins had one simple New Year's resolution: Have his team play a complete 40-minute effort.
The Huskies didn't get his resolution off to a great start Tuesday night, but were able to string together enough to begin 2019 with a victory.
Jaylen Nowell scored 18 points and Noah Dickerson added 16 as Washington erased an eight-point halftime deficit to earn an 84-76 victory over Cal State Fullerton.
Dickerson, Thybulle lead Washington over Sacramento State
SEATTLE (AP) — Washington head coach Mike Hopkins didn't get the full 40-minute effort he hoped for from his team Friday night, but one strong half was enough to propel the Huskies to victory.

Washington holds off late Seattle rally for 70-62 victory
SEATTLE (AP) — Usually the suit jacket Washington coach Mike Hopkins wears to start each game is gone long before the end of the first half.
On Sunday night the jacket lasted about 33 minutes before Washington's coach ditched it and rolled up his sleeves, just as the Huskies were doing their part to give away most of a 20-point lead.
Green’s 7 3s lead Washington by Eastern Washington 83-59
SEATTLE (AP) — Through the first few weeks of the regular season, it's become clear if Washington is going to be successful it must find depth with its scoring. It can't be Jaylen Nowell and Noah Dickerson all the time.
Dominic Green showed Tuesday night the potential to be that complementary scorer.
Green hit seven 3-pointers and scored a career-high 25 points, David Crisp added 14 points and Washington cruised past Eastern Washington 83-59 on Tuesday night.
Dickerson rallies Washington past Texas A&M 71-67
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Noah Dickerson said he was broke, in reference to all the shots around the rim missed by Washington's senior forward.
"I couldn't make anything. I couldn't make nothing. But we just kept at it," Dickerson said.
Dickerson overcame his early misses around the rim to score a season-high 24 points, Jaylen Nowell added 14 points, and Washington overcame foul trouble and terrible shooting in the first half to rally for a 71-67 win over Texas A&M on Tuesday night.
Nowell scores 18 as Washington holds off San Diego 66-63
SEATTLE (AP) — Playing its third game in a week to open the regular season, with an eventful cross-country trip thrown in, Mike Hopkins was anxious about what Washington was coming home to face in San Diego.

Dickerson lifts No. 25 Washington past W. Kentucky 73-55
SEATTLE (AP) — Washington coach Mike Hopkins described it as being in the "sandpit." The Huskies were at home, ranked to start the season for the first time in seven years, facing expectations and the anticipation of what they actually looked like.

No. 25 Washington believes NCAA drought ends this season
SEATTLE (AP) — David Crisp, Noah Dickerson and Matisse Thybulle all arrived at Washington with the task of being the group to get the Huskies back to the NCAA Tournament.
It's a challenge that remains after three years, a coaching change, a chance to leave for other opportunities and now hope the task accepted when they arrived might finally be accomplished.

SEATTLE (AP) — Fortunately for the Oregon Ducks, when their offense suddenly disappeared their defense stepped up.
Payton Pritchard scored 14 points and Paul White added 13 as Oregon turned back a late rally by Washington to preserve a 72-64 victory on Saturday to end the Pac-12 Conference regular season.
Washington, which trailed 44-29 at the half, used a 9-2 run to pull within 68-64 with 3:12 remaining, but failed to score the rest of the way.

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — BOULDER, Colo. -- Washington's ugly shooting line received a welcome boost when Matisse Thybulle banked in a 3-ball off the backboard midway through the opening half on Saturday.

Dickerson paces Washington past Kennesaw State, 85-71
SEATTLE (AP) — Noah Dickerson's point-a-minute efficiency was too much for Kennesaw State.
Dickerson scored 24 points in 24 minutes and Sam Timmins added 13 points as Washington rolled to an 85-71 victory over the Owls on Tuesday night.
"Deep post position is hard for anybody," said Dickerson, who did most of his damage underneath the basket. "If I get it deep and getting a shot toward the basket, it's hard for anybody to do anything with that."

Bullock leads Providence to 77-70 win over Washington
NEW YORK (AP) — Among the truisms of sports is that one year's results have nothing to do with how a team will perform in a new season.
It is an adage that Providence coach Ed Cooley espoused, for all intents and purposes after Rodney Bullock scored 17 points to lift the Friars to a 77-70 win over Washington in the second game of the 2K Classic on Thursday night.
"I'm just glad we hung on," Cooley said. "We're trying to learn about our team. It was a pretty competitive game."
