Nevada marijuana tax collections top $8M, set new record
LAS VEGAS (AP) — New Nevada tax data shows marijuana revenues are continuing to grow and top records in the state.
The Nevada Department of Taxation said Wednesday that marijuana tax revenues at the retail and wholesale levels generated $8.1 million in August.
That's a new record and $3.2 million higher than the same month in 2017.

Coastal Seafood, a popular destination for Twin Cities seafood lovers, has outgrown its Minneapolis space and is moving along with its sister wholesale business to roomier quarters.
Its a tiny geographic step, moving just across the street, but a giant step up in terms of space, expanding its footprint from 6,500 square feet to more than 50,000 square feet.

STAMFORD — Retail holiday sales in the U.S. should increase 4 percent to 4.5 percent over last year’s shopping season, according to a new report by professional-services firm Deloitte.
Sales are expected to reach $1.04 trillion to $1.05 trillion between November and January, Deloitte forecasts.
The report points to accelerating growth in the retail sector. In each of the previous two years, revenues increased by 3.6 percent.
